A new adventure is on my mind.

     I am now 72 years young and would like to make one more fantasy trip.

I want to sail from San Diego California down the west coast of Mexico, and Central America making as many stops as I can  in all the countries that are safe, through the Panama Canal, up the east coast and Caribbean back to the USA at Port Aransas Texas and Mustang Island. The trip is approximately 7500 miles and could be longer if I sail the Sea of Cortez and the the Caribbean. It looks like a two or three year trip, depending on the weather. I am retired, married, and able to support my obligations at home, but need a sponsor for the trip. The expenses of life would be about $500.00 per month plus repairs, permits & duties. Any sponsor would have the option of making a portion of the trip they desired, at their own expense. Also you will be updated continuously by E-Mail and follow the trip in detail. Corporate sponsors logo will be displayed. A web page will be created to keep the progress updated with details, pictures and projections.

There are many ports of embarkation, San Diego, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Etc. Buy an excursion air fare to one port and return from another. Bring very few clothes but clear identification papers. Insurance is a good idea.

I  am an experienced Blue Water sailor, crossing the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, and have few bad   habits, easy to get along with, in good health, and I speak fair Spanish. No smoking, drugs or liquor              (for me). NO DRUGS or GUNS on the boat.!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to spend any time in jail.     Animals too are a problem but can be dealt with if they never leave the boat. The boat will be a 36' with auto    pilot, radar, and GPS.  The trip will begin in October or November, after the Hurricane season on the west coast.You don't have to be a sailor, but able to be active as help on the boat and stand watch in turn. I'll be alone except for any sponsor that may want to go.  I prefer to have only one sponsor for the entire trip, but that  is asking quite a bit, so one sponsor for each leg would be fine. This won't be a luxury trip , a race or a poverty cruse, just a leisurely fun experience. A woman would be safe and respected. A couple would have all the privacy they want.
